Touch Designer- Fluid Simulation Sketch

Day 9

This is part of a series of improving my digital skills. The goal is to follow tutorials and post my progress here. I will use various tools including, but not limited to, Houdini, Touch Designer, Unreal Engine, Unity, Maya, Blender, After Effects, and even Photoshop character and environment concepts.

In this sketch, I explore touch designers' emitters. Specifically the flow emitter. The flow emitter detects an entire image, so in order to achieve the effect, I wanted I needed to isolate the image with alpha background. For this, I used a rose.

This is based on the tutorial by Kaiho Nishimura.
