In this sketch, I learn more about anticipation to create a smooth animation. Based on the 12 principles of Animation, The School of Motion defines anticipation as a movement before a larger action.

Anticipation: The Animation Principle You Didn't Expect - School of Motion
This example focuses on a simple circle movement across the frame. The anticipation is the circle moving back slightly before moving forward and then bouncing back again and then stopping at its final point.
In this example I use a square to do a similar animation except for the weight of the object is taken into consideration. The anticipation is dragged out.
